CD Aubé Gauthier

Album: THE FLIGHT , Info and trails Gauthier tells us:

An album composed around the didgeridoo with guests! I composed the framework of the pieces myself around the didgeridoo and the percussions (composed in computer music). But my goal was not to create an album only for purists, and I like to open up to other worlds.

So I invited three musicians each on three pieces:

Pierre-Olivier Fernandez on Oud and violin (pieces 1 to 3)
Damien Saint-Loup on guitar, bass and hearts (tracks 4 to 6)
Manu Gence à la Kora (tracks 7 to 9)

These collaborations naturally form three triptychs which structure the album. Nine pieces for the journey of a lifetime.
The nine pieces divided into three triptychs cover the stages of life, from childhood to old age:
First triptych: “On the construction of oneself”. 1. The call 2. The crossing 3. The flight
Second triptych: “From research to the desire to live” 4. Drunkenness 5. Sheltered 6. Alive!
Third triptych: “From appeasement to departure” 7. In the background 8. The countdown 9. The passage Everything is of course led by the rhythmic force of the didgeridoo!
