The connections between each part are ensured by means of very high quality cork joints and metal rings. You can build your fujara flute in less than a minute. The Fujara is made up of two carved wooden tubes connected at the top by another small wooden pipe. The shortest tube is the one where the player blows, it only serves to bring the air towards the nozzle of the longest pipe (this being too long to both blow into it and play the three holes).
Fujara length mounted: 170cm |

The player positions himself standing, legs apart, holding the Fujara placed on his thigh (right for right-handers) and right hand placed on the area where the holes are located (thumb on the front). He plays with the second or third phalanges (fingers flat and not folded like on most flutes). This instrument, due to the sensations it generates and the harmony between the player's breath and the subtle vibrations produced, lends itself very well to meditation as well as to creating atmospheres of different shades in modern music. It allows you to play over an amplitude of 2 and a half octaves and up to 11 harmonic levels.
Learning is particularly rewarding as the sensations are immediately present. It is a particularly fun instrument without any particular difficulties for the beginner (like the didgeridoo for example which requires learning to vibrate the lips then to breathe continuously). The playful aspect of discovery, of exploring the relationship between one's breath and the sounds produced quickly allows for improvisation. The experience that will follow leads to more and more elaborate creations, and increasingly rich finesse of sounds.
The fujara is an instrument speaking in a wonderful way, like a ballad, of the depths of the human soul, of pleasures, joy, worries, sadness and mourning. His pensive and grumbling voice, his poetry instilled by man are able to reveal in an extraordinary way the hidden corners of human emotions and to caress the soul from the inside
