In short: A telescopic PVC didgeridoo, adjustable from low B to high G: 64 cm folded, 195 cm extended, 1.7 kg, supplied with its carry bag. For beginners and experienced players alike.

How it works: This is the successor to the Slide Didge. With its four nesting tubes, it retracts to 64 cm and extends to 195 cm. It is easy to carry: it weighs only 1.7 kg and its carry bag is included.

Airtightness: No risk of pulling the sections apart by accident when you extend it: each tube has a slightly flared end that stops it separating once the instrument is fully extended. This design also gives an excellent seal at full length.

The last section, with the mouthpiece, has a red seal that prevents air leaks which could affect the sound.

The notes: This model goes down to low B and up to high G: B, C, C#, D, D#, E, F, G. Many people love the very deep sound of the didgeridoo, ideal for meditation and relaxation.

Others prefer the more dynamic notes, for rhythmic playing, or simply the mid-range notes, the most common ones for starting out or for playing in tune with other instruments.

  • Fully extended, using only the first slide, it plays the notes B, C, C#, D, D#, E
  • With the second slide pushed in, the notes D#, E, F, G

Changing note while playing: You can change note freely as you play, simply by sliding the instrument. The mechanism offers some resistance: this friction lock stops the instrument retracting by itself while you play. No lubrication is needed.

The top tube has an internal diameter of 3.6 cm, an excellent balance for playing pressure.

My advice: You can even reach A# fully extended and G# fully retracted. However, I recommend stopping at B and G, to keep the best possible seal.
