Telescopic didgeridoo or modular didgeridoo!

Here is the successor to the Slide Didge. Thanks to its four interlocking tubes, it can retract to a minimum length of 64 cm. It can also extend to an impressive 195 cm. It is easy to transport, thanks to its light weight (1.7 kg) and the included carrying bag.

There is no risk of accidentally detaching the sections when unfolding it: each tube features a slightly flared end that prevents them from coming apart completely once the instrument is fully extended. This design also ensures an airtight seal when fully extended. The final section, featuring the mouthpiece, includes a red seal to prevent air leaks that could compromise sound quality!

The notes: B, C, C#, D, D#, E, F, G. This model ranges from low B up to high G. Most people appreciate the didgeridoo's deep, resonant sound, which is ideal for meditation and relaxation. However, some also enjoy the dynamic notes for rhythmic playing, or simply the standard mid-range notes for starting out or playing in tune with other instruments.

Expert tip: It is even possible to reach A# (fully extended) and G# (fully retracted). However, I recommend stopping at B and G to ensure the best possible airtight seal. For greater precision, you can mark your didgeridoo with a permanent marker to identify the exact lengths corresponding to the desired notes. Use a free chromatic tuner app on your phone, such as "Tuner Pitched."

  • When fully extended, it allows you to play the notes B, C, C#, D, D#, and E using only the first slide.
  • With the second slide retracted, the notes are D#, E, F, and G.

You can freely adjust the pitch while playing simply by sliding the instrument to lengthen or shorten it. The mechanism offers a degree of resistance during adjustment—creating a friction lock that allows for movement while preventing the instrument from retracting unintentionally during play. No lubrication is required. The upper tube has an internal diameter of 3.6 cm, providing an excellent balance for playing pressure. It is suitable for both beginners and experienced players alike!
