Andrew Begay is a true Navaho artist

Born in Arizona, USA, he grew up in the Navaho tradition thanks to his grandparents. He devoted the last 20 years of his life to playing and making traditional North American flutes.

Andrew is also a storyteller and enjoys sharing aspects of the ancient and traditional life of the ancient Navahos. He also leads sweat lodge ceremonies with drums, water and traditional singing.

His work on flutes is just simple work on a "basic flute", it's like a jeweler or a sculptor. Each flute is unique, decorated with mother-of-pearl, turquoise, red coral, or other natural precious stones, and also bears the design of different sacred animals such as the eagle, the bear, the horse etc.

Buying one of his flutes is like having a personal “amulet”. Any serious collector of Native American flutes should not miss the opportunity to own a native Andrew flute. He is to this day in all modesty one of the best true Navaho artists.
