Description

Airdidge the telescopic carbon fiber travel Didgeridoo, Ultra light and ideal for travel!

The pack: Airdidge + cover + lids + microfiber cloth - > breakdown into 3 notes: B, C#, E

With an ultra light weight of only 540g and a reduced length of only 37cm. the Airdidge is your ideal companion, no matter where you venture. Once the instrument is unfolded, you hold a 186 cm long didgeridoo which can be played almost effortlessly. Made from sturdy and stylish materials, the Airdidge is resistant to heat and humidity. 100% carbon fiber.

Sound: You can play the Airdidge in different keys: B, C#, E, depending on how many parts you shorten. As you extend the telescopic elements, you change the sound. The acoustic quality remains excellent at every interval. The instrument is very simple to play and has a very comfortable back pressure. I would like to point out that the Swiss manufacturer indicates on its site the notes: Bb, C, Eb. There is in fact a half tone difference because it will depend on your playing pressure. At low pressure the notes will be Bb, C, Eb, while at high pressure (in my case I have a strong playing pressure) by "pushing" the didgeridoo I come across the notes B, C#, E.

Material: The Airdidge is made from 100% carbon fiber. Carbon fiber reinforced plastic is very durable and extremely lightweight. As a result, the Airdidge weighs only 540g and is one of the lightest and most compact didgeridoos on the market. Another advantage is the ease of cleaning. Your instrument can be cleaned with cold water.

Airdidge weight alone: 0.540kg
Weight with protective caps: 0.650kg
Mouth diameter: 3.2cm
Length airdidge unfolded: 186cm
Airdidge length disassembled: 37cm
Airdidge material: carbon fiber

My expert advice: Wipe after each use all parts of your Airdidge with the micro fiber cloth (inside and outside), this will keep your instrument clean and prevent any future odors! Thanks to Termite Sunny for the video!

Why is the price a little higher than on the manufacturer's website? The Price is inclusive of VAT. The costs relating to the importation of the instrument (taxes, customs fees, etc.) are already included in the sale price. You then know exactly the amount of your order, unlike a purchase directly from Switzerland where you will have taxes and customs fees to pay upon receipt.

Classification

This scale is the result of an air column/bell start ratio If we divide the diameter of the bell with that of the beginning of the air column we get a number between 1.5 and 3.5. We can classify all the didgeridoos in 4 large families. Each family groups the instruments with a similar character, simply based on the overall shape of the air column (conical/cylindrical) and on the diameter of the column (wide/narrow). The result is a simple and very reliable reading grid, making it easier to search and purchase on line.

The diameters are measured with a caliper, start of the air column after the mouthpîece. This ratio is very reliable for a didg having a air column with a 'smooth' internal work, in the case of a hollowed eucalyptus instrument it give an approach of the instrumental character.
